D&C secured their second double of the season after beating Richmond Rovers 2-1 on Woodford Rec in their latest outing. A fairly even first half saw both teams force good saves out of each opposing keeper. George Wheeler put D&C 1-0 up going into the half time break with a good lobbed effort after receiving the ball with his back to goal from a right wing throw in.

The second half was like the alamo, Richmond piled on the pressure and it was a backs to the wall display for large parts for the visitors. The back four dealt with most that was thrown at them and if anything got through then our keeper was on hand to thwart any efforts. A second goal from D&C in the final ten minutes appeared to have put the game and result beyond doubt as Nick Kiefer bagged at the back post following a long throw. We could have got a third straight after as a counter attack saw Dave Slater through for a one on one with the home keeper, but his effort went just wide.

A late Richmond goal meant it was squeaky bum time for the remaining minutes but we managed to hang on to 'do the double' over Richmond for the season.
